Originating from a passion for the guitar and a quest for beautiful melodies, I founded "Yen Guitars" in Tainan in 2015, making handmade guitars my profession.
The idea of "making handmade guitars" did not come out of nowhere. Playing the guitar in high school, forming bands while studying in college, and encountering high-end brands after entering the workforce, I accumulated ample professional knowledge of guitars and strengthened the love for them.
The thought of "because I love it, I want to make it." coupled with my existing expertise in fine arts, led to the idea of making guitars. I began experimenting slowly, learning basic techniques in Taipei, and then in 2016, I went to Canada to study under the esteemed guitar maker Sergei de Jonge, gradually shaping the appearance of Yen Guitars.
Starting from 2018, I participated in handmade guitar exhibitions in Japan, not only showcasing my works but also exchanging ideas and expanding my horizons with guitar makers from various countries, committed to crafting guitars of even higher standards.
In the future, I will continue to be on the path of guitar making with passion, dedication, rigor, and meticulousness, establishing the unique musical tones and craftsmanship of Yen Guitars, allowing more guitar enthusiasts to become acquainted with Yen Guitars and share the love for guitars together.
